 Encryption has a rich history rooted in analog methodology that is often overlooked in the digital age. Before modern technology, it relied on a series of physical steps. This project reintroduces that process through a system that invites users to physically engage with encoding information.

(01) is a physical cipher system that encrypts messages by translating letters into binary, and then into custom glyphs, using a set of nine unique stamps. This project features an original cipher system, accompanied by Viscous, a typeface design by Helen Chen.
